Welcome to Geography 1012: COURSE OVERVIEW
While most courses in geography cover chapters from a textbook in a routine fashion, this course combines economic and cultural entities. Originally designed for a British audience, the course has been Americanized. The course centers around ten videos. Each chapter in the textbook corresponds to a video program. Readings and exercises are linked to the video programs.
Use of the Geog Discussion Forum:
Students may wish to "share" their answers or ask questions about the exercises at the end of each chapter in the Bell Study Guide. Since some of the questions that pertain to the readings and the videos will be on the exams, this would be an excellent method of studying and answering these questions. From time to time, I might use this forum to tell the class about web sites or respond to Email questions from students that should be shared with the entire class.
